QHY5-III USB3 Series
Compact, super speed and high sensitivity
The QHY5-III series camera is the USB3.0 super speed camera with a guide port. It still uses 1.25inch style eyepiece design and it has the adjustable location ring for confocal with an eyepiece. QHY5-III is very tight, but powerful.
QHY5-III has an advanced thermal design. The heat generated by the CMOS sensor is transferred onto the telescope's eyepiece tube. Another part of the heat can be transferred to the heat sink on the location ring and cooled by air.
The QHY5-III supply both native WDM drivers and Broadcast WDM drivers. It means you can use it as an ultra high performance webcam for video chat or video live broad cast. You can share the realtime astronomy scene to your friends with this camera.
The QHY5-III series camera will include QHY5III174, QHY5III224, QHY5III178 and so on. The prototype of QHY5-III will come in September, 2015.
Multiple Model with SONY sensors and APTINA sensors - Exmor sensor and Exmor-R BSI sensor
QHY5III174 1/1.2inch Exmor sensor. This camera has mono version.
QHY5III178 uses IMX178 Exmor-R back illuminated CMOS sensor. 6.0mega pixels. This camera has both mono and color version.
QHY5III224 uses IMX224 sensor. This sensor has only color version. With extremely low readout noise. The IMX224 sensor is regarded the most sensitivity, color sensor of SONY.
LEMO Guide Port - Solid and Stable Contact
QHY5-III uses the 5pin LEMO guide port. The camera comes with a 5pin to RJ11 guide cable. Although the cost of the LEMO socket is very high, but it will improve the stability of your systems.
